What does Microneedling feel like?
Prior to your treatment a numbing cream is used to numb the treatment area. Some say the feeling associated with the Eclipse Micropen is that of sandpaper being moved across the skin, while others say they do not feel anything.
What areas of the body can I treat with Microneedling?
Common places to treat are the face, neck and chest. However, some clients treat areas on their arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.
What is the down time?
Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin. On average clients experience redness for 24 hours. However the redness can last up for 2-4 days. Nothing should be applied to your face for the first 24 hours to ensure the microchannels have closed. After that you can resume wearing your makeup.
How many treatments do I need?
It is ideal if you do a series of 3 treatments, spaced about 6-8 weeks apart.

Does Laser Hair Removal Hurt?
Everyone has a different pain tolerance, and some areas of the body maybe more sensitive than others. Some patients may feel a slight discomfort like the snapping of a rubber band on the skin. At New Path Studio we try to reduce the discomfort by using a cooling device.
How long does a Laser Hair Removal Treatment take?
A treatment could take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the number of areas you are wanting hair removal completed.
How many sessions will I need for Laser Hair Removal?
The average person requires 6-8 sessions to get to a stage where they are satisfied with their hair removal. The time frame between sessions depends on the part of the body you are wanting Laser Hair Removal completed on.
How do I prepare for the Laser Hair Removal appointment?
It is required that you have not plucked, waxed or done electrolysis for 6 weeks prior to your first laser appointment. The areas you are wishing to have laser hair removal completed on should not be exposed to the sun 4 weeks before or after the treatment. Skin should be cleaned of any makeup, creams, oils, or self tanning products prior to your appointment. You are required to shave the area(s) 24 hours prior to your appointment and only shave the unwanted hair going forward.
Eyelash Extensions | FAQ
Do eyelash extensions hurt?
If applied correctly eyelash extensions should not hurt. They are applied with professional tools by isolating one lash, and adhering one extension to your natural lash for classic lashes. We use micro foam tape under your eyes to protect the skin and bottom lashes.
Do eyelash extension damage my natural lashes?
When applied correctly, eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lash. Certified lash technicians will apply to only one natural lash, and will apply an extension that is the appropriate weight and length to ensure the integrity of your natural lash. Your natural lashes can be damaged if the lash technician is not using proper techniques.
How long will it take to apply eyelash extensions?
Lashes are applied while you are lying down with your eyes closed. It may take about 3 hours for a full set, so be prepared to have a nice relaxing nap. The service includes a consultation, eye patterning, and eye mapping.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Arrive without eye makeup, ensure all water proof mascara is off or removed in between the lashes using an oil free cleanser. You will need to keep your lashes dry for 24 hours after the application so it is a good idea to have your hair washed before hand. Also, please cut fluids 2 hours before your appointments, no caffeine the day of the appointment and bring a contact case if you wear contacts.
Can I apply mascara to eyelash extensions?
Yes, it must be a water based mascara only. Do not use oil based or water proof mascara as they can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions causing them to fall off sooner. You also need to only use a water based eye makeup remover when washing off the mascara.
How do I take care of my new eyelash extensions?
- Do not get lashes wet for at least 24 hours
- Use oil-free makeup remover and face cleansers
- Avoid hot steam or sauna (minimize hot yoga
- Avoid sleeping on your stomach to avoid pressure on the extensions
- Avoid running water directly on your lashes
- Do not rub, pick or pull your eyes
- Only use water based mascara (optional you may love the way your lashes look without it). If applying mascara, do so from middle to tip avoiding the root area.
- Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler
Spray Tanning | FAQ
What do I have to do to prepare for my spray tanning appointment?
In order to produce the best tan possible, prior to your appointment you need to exfoliate your skin. This can be done by using a damp wash cloth with soap, rubbing it firmly over your skin while you shower. Pay attention to rough areas such as knees, elbows, ankles and the tops of your feet.
Can I shave after a spray tan?
Shaving should be done at least 24 hours before application. If done after the spray tan, it will remove the tan in those areas. If done just before, it can leave the skin sensitive and may result in an uneven tan.
Can I apply any products to my skin prior to my appointment?
Do not apply any moisturizers, makeup, deodorants or perfume to your skin. These can form a barrier and prevent the solution from contacting the skin properly resulting in a patchy and irregular tan.
What should I wear to my appointment?
You should wear dark loose clothing. The solution may transfer to your clothes and is less noticeable on dark clothing. The solution will wash out of most clothing, with the exception of leather and silk.
Should I bring something to wear during my tanning session?
This is up to you as to whether you want tan lines or not. You may choose to be nude, or you may bring a dark colored swimsuit. We do offer disposable undies also.
When can I shower?
Do not wet your skin for at least 2 hours after the tanning session Showering can occur 5-7 hours after your session, however, showering the next morning is the best option.
Do I still need to wear sunscreen after a spray tan?
Yes, sunscreen is still required as the tanning solution does not offer any protection from the sun’s UV rays.
Microblading | FAQ
How long does Microblading last?
Microblading can last anywhere between 6-18 months depends on how your skin takes the pigment. Touch-ups should be done to keep the color and shape you desire.
Is Microblading ideal for oily skin?
You can have Microblading done with oily skin however the pigment will fade much faster than those with normal-dry skin. Oily skin will require more frequent touch-ups.
Is there down time?
Yes, after the procedure is done your brows may seem dark and swollen, during the first-week swelling will subside and may begin to scab, which is completely normal,l and will flake off naturally, revealing your healed results.
Powder Brows | FAQ
What skin type is good for Powder Brows?
Any skin type is ideal for Powder Brows even oily and mature skin.
Is there any down time?
Yes, usually it takes about a week for your brows to externally heal and about a month to heal internally. In the first couple days after your procedure your brows will begin to scab and flake off naturally, the color will seem light at first but will darken back to your desired color within 2-3 weeks.
How long do Powder Brows last?
They can last anywhere from 1-3 years, although a touch up should be done between 12-18 months to refresh your color.
Combination Brows | FAQ
How do I know if combo brows are for me?
If you are filling in your brows, and especially if you have sparse brows and areas you feel always need to be filled in then Combo Brows would be a great option.
Does this procedure hurt?
Depending on your pain tolerance, yes it can, but we do use a numbing cream to calm swelling and keep you comfortable.
How long does this procedure take?
Your appointment time will last around 2 hours. A lot of that time is used to create the perfect shape for your face, while the actual procedure takes around 45 minutes to an hour.
