If you are tired of having to curl your eyelashes everyday to make your eyes more noticeable, then a Lash Lift may be for you. Or if you can not or do not wish to have eyelash extensions a Lash Lift will give you a natural look with definition. A Lash Lift curls your lash from the base to the tip so you can see the full length of the lash.
For the procedure, the Technician will determine what size of shield to use depending on the lash length and the desired curl. During the whole procedure your eyes are shut. Your lashes will be cleansed and then a curling shield is placed onto your eyelid, your lashes will then be brushed up onto the shield and held with adhesive. Once the Technician has ensured all lashes are in place an eye safe perming solution will be applied to the base of the lashes, this helps to break down the bond of the lash so it can mold to the shield. Next a setting solution is applied to help restructure the lashes into place. If desired after the setting solution step is complete a tint can be applied, to rid you of the need to wear mascara. Lastly, a nourishing lotion is applied to the lashes to keep them healthy. The process usually takes about 60 to 85 minutes.
This is a low maintenance service on your natural lashes that can last anywhere from 6-8 weeks, but this can vary from person to person depending on your lash growth and shedding.
For the first 24 hours no makeup or water, should come in contact with the lashes. This is to ensure the lift correctly sets into shape. If you choose to wear mascara you should avoid it for at least 48 hours, and it is recommended, in order to increase the longevity of your lash lift to not use a waterproof mascara.
