Eclipse MicroPen®
During the procedure the Eclipse Micropen uses minuscule needles to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin aiding in the production of collagen and elastin.
At New Path Studio we use the Eclipse Micropen Elite. Micro-Needling is a non-invasive treatment for reduction in the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, sun spots, and pigmentation. It will also improve the skin’s texture, tone and color.
As we age our bodies naturally slow down the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are the structure of the skin that maintains both elasticity and firmness.
The skin’s repair process results in a thicker epidermis with a softer appearance of wrinkles. The Eclipse Micropen also creates micro-channels that allow serums to be applied and absorbed during the treatment. Enhancing the effects in the deeper layers of the skin. In order to reduce discomfort a topical gel is used to numb the treatment area.
Following the treatment, you should expect the treated area to be red and possibly swollen. This will subside within a day or two. Tiny pin point scabs may appear and remain for 3-7 days.

What to expect
For 48 hours after the treatment, you should avoid working out, hot showers, massages and sun exposure. The skin needs to be kept clean in order to avoid contamination or infection while it is healing.
Most people show signs of improvement right away, as your natural collagen production increases due to the treatment, you will see your skin keep improving over the next several months. In order to achieve optimal results a series of 3 to 5 treatments is recommended, in intervals of 6 to 8 weeks apart. Clients with more advanced skin damage may require more treatments to maximize their results.
